Face Shield Project PPE for NHS & frontline staff

Since we started this, we have produced well beyond our initial 10,000 goal for donation into the NHS! Please keep supporting this campaign so we can produce and donate even more, every £1 donated allows us to produce and deliver another face shield. That's over 20,000 now!

There is still a shortage of face shields for frontline NHS staff and frontline public-service workers with many crying out for personal protection equipment (PPE).

We wanted to help by getting at least 10,000 face shields to these people as soon as possible. We've now smashed this target.

As an existing product design & plastic injection moulding business we can do this; with your support.

Our friends working within the NHS are telling us they and their colleagues are desperate for these.

Prototyping - 3D Printing

There are many efforts around the world to produce face shields using 3D printers, this is a brilliant idea and medical staff are using them, they're no doubt saving lives by reducing infections.

We used 3D printing to prototype our design ready for injection moulding.

3D printing takes a relatively long time per part.


Scale - injection moulding

Plastic products produced in volume are made using a process called injection moulding, this is what we do.

We designed a face shield that can be injection moulded and and used crowdfunding to skip the red tape of procurement departments and get these face shields into the NHS, to the wards, ambulances and staff that need them much quicker.

Our machine can produce a face shield every 27 seconds.

Our Background

We make a range of plastic mounts called StealthMounts (our company) both 3D printed and injection moulded. We send our products around the world and have successfully taken products from concept to 3D printing and on to injection moulding. We have the production machinery to mass-produce these face shields in-house.
