Officer Peter Jerving Fundraiser: Good Peeps

Hello, my name is Dave Wacker and I'm fundraising on behalf of our Meetup group "Good Peeps", for our fallen friend Officer Peter Jerving.

On Tuesday, Officer Jerving was assisting with a reported robbery and was needlessly and senselessly taken from us.

Peter was part of a Meetup group I recently started with some friends called "Good Peeps". The idea was to provide a safe and open place, for good people from all backgrounds and orientations, to do a bunch of different and fun things (ex. wine tastings, skiing, movie nights, or just hanging out). One of our most popular events is volleyball and that's how we met Peter.

Peter was a kind, honest, and caring man and very competitive (in the best sense). The kind of person you'd want to be part of your group and the kind of man you'd want protecting your community.

Please consider donating generously to help his family during this difficult time.

We will be hosting a fundraiser/tribute on Fri, 2/10 at Kelly's Bleachers in Windlake at 7:00 pm. There will be a band (Retrosonic sponsored by US Title Company) and all proceeds will be donated to the family by Kelly's. We will also be doing our usual Friday volleyball event (which he was signed up for). In honor of Peter, the event will be open to anyone and everyone who wants to play.
