Family Support for Rich Garvin’s Family

Every parent’s worst nightmare is to lose a child. Calley and Rich and younger sister Caterra's hearts were broken on Monday, July 17, 2023 when their 20-year son was killed on his lunch break from Auto Zone. Rich was walking home and was tragically hit by a car. Richard Sr., Calley, Lil Rich and Caterra were a very close family. Rich was just 9 months older than his sister Caterra so they grew up as if they were twins. Rich also had a large group of friends in the online Roblox gaming community. Rich had a love of cars since he was three years old and even as a young boy he could identify the year and make of vehicles. Rich was known for being very intelligent and articulate. He always made his family laugh, and he was a very sweet guy. He loved his family and even called his parents mommy and daddy. Rich accepted Christ into his life at the age of 10. Rich was a foodie. He loved to order food and he could cook like a chef. At 19 years old he was promoted in his job and he was beginning to enter the adult world when his life tragically ended. The Garvin family has been devasted; it is their faith that is keeping them together. They have expenses they never counted on with medical, funeral and ongoing costs. They live right at the scene of the accident and will have to decide if they need to relocate for their hearts to begin to heal.
