Cadhla is my beautiful bubbly 17 month old baby. She was born with congential heart disease, a horseshoe kidney and a cleft lip&Palate. To date she has being through a huge amount of trauma in her life with emergency open heart surgery at 4 weeks old that resulted in 2 strokes in the main artery in her brain. Due to the second stroke she has suffered a great amount of brain damage that has caused irreversible damage and cerebral palsy, epilepsy, global developmental delays and alot more issues to her health that we are dealing with medically on a day to day basis.
Cadhlas care has not being easy on our family but we do the most we can for her. She had her second open heart surgery at 6 months old and her cleft repair and g tube for feeding surgical procedures at 10 months old. At the moment she is stable and we have no future surgeries planned to date. With Cadhlas care she benefits hugely from intense physiotherapy. I get as much as I can out of the community but with lack of available therapists there aren't enough appointments available for her, so I have had no choice but to do as much private therapy as I can afford with her. In February 2023 she was starting to lose the use of her right arm due to the cerebral palsy caused from her stroke. I have commited as much as I possibly can afford to bring her to regular private therapy.
Cadhla is 17 months old and she can now sit and kneel and only recently sometimes attempts to stand. We are still waiting on much needed equipment that she is entitled to months now.
I am trying my best to do it all but with therapies €70 a session at the moment I can only afford one session a month. I am hoping with the help of you all that I can get her much needed and more often therapies to benefit her physically health along with so much more. I am also hoping that I can afford to bring her to specialists who can help to get to the bottom of her ongoing daily medical issues.
I do daily therapy at home myself but I can only do as much as I learn in her sessions, I also bring her to swim therapy weekly which again is taking its toll on me financially as I also have two other children to care for. I appreciate each and everyone who helps or supports us in anyway possible.

My goal for this fundraiser is to use fully on extra therapy session and equipment for Cadhla for as long as she needs. I am also hoping to be able to get second opinions from specialists to help her overcome her medical issues at this time.
