Fundraiser for Big John Yeubanks

Hello, my name is Scott DiPonio and it is with deep feeling and sadness that I write this GoFundMe for my closest friend and boss, John Yeubanks. I have known John for over 25 years as friends, business partners, and riding buddies. John is a brother to me, his family being my family. On April 18th 2022 John received unfortunate news that would change his and his family's life. The doctors had found a large mass on his kidney and a small spot on his right lung. The spot on his kidney was consistent with Stage 3 Renal Cell Carcinoma. John underwent surgery and had one of his kidneys removed. Since that day the cancer has spread into his lung. John was on Immune therapy for a long 6 months with terrible side effects, putting him in the hospital multiple times, one being a super close call to almost losing him. While in the hospital the doctors found more cancer growth on his hip. This caused John to have to go on Radiation to help with the pain he was in. John has also been dealing with side effects on top of having Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma. In early December of 2023, John received even more bad news. The cancer had also spread to his pelvis leaving John to do more radiation treatment.

Later in the month of December 2023, John was having some pain in his shoulder so he went in for a cat scan. Regrettably they found a hole in his scapula and the cancer is now in his shoulder socket.

Now we are here- January 19th 2024

John had a radiology appointment to get some help with his shoulder pain and make a plan, he had a cat scan done and unfortunately the cancer has spread to his L2 vertebrae in his spine and they also found 3 lacerations on his liver. John may need to have surgery on his spine to make sure the vertebra does not do damage to his spinal cord or worse end up paralyzed. I will update as we find out more on Johns spinal condition. But being the cancer is now in Johns spine he is starting radiation again this Monday. (1-22-24) This radiation treatment is a 3 hour drive round trip and will be for 5 days straight, a break for the weekend and then again the following Monday for 5 more days. A total of 10 treatments.

As you can see this has not been an easy road for John himself, or his family. John is a loyal, caring and giving man. Any donations will be going towards helping John with getting to and from his doctor appointments, radiation treatments, medical bills and his recovery.
