UPDATE 11/07/2024:
Dear Donors,
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your generous contributions. Your support has made a significant impact on our cause. Your commitment to helping others is truly inspiring, and we are deeply thankful for your trust and partnership.
Your donations have enabled us to help where we could, mainly directly in Gaza. Unfortunately, over the last couple of weeks, it has become increasingly difficult to find the right channels to place the funds directly where they are needed—with patients in Gaza. Therefore, we are closing this fundraiser for now.
We want to reassure all our donors that all funds raised to this day have been or will be used directly for humanitarian efforts in Gaza. Please reach out to us via social media.
Thank you once again for your generosity and support.
Warm regards,
Dr Jan Franta

UPDATE 14/05/2024:
As the bombs continue to fall and the deliberate targeting of civilians and humanitarian workers persists, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the cause and continue our fundraising efforts. We extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who has contributed thus far. While we will continue to support Gaza by contributing to medical supplies shipments with our partners, we have also decided to diversify our support to another organization that directly aids children with complex medical needs. We will provide updates on this decision here.
UPDATE 30/01/2024:
We want to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to all those who have already donated. The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, affecting both the general population and the dedicated healthcare workers striving to provide humanitarian aid. Bombs persistently fall, leading to the tragic loss of innocent lives every day, including many children. This fundraiser has supported the Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) medical team currently stationed in Gaza. It has also contributed to funding the recent dispatch of a second container filled with medical consumables and food.
We recognize and appreciate your immense generosity. If you're unable to contribute again, please consider sharing this fundraiser within your social circle. With the potential loss of funding to UNRWA, support is crucial now more than ever.
Thank you,
GPCI Team
Welcome to Gaza Paediatric Care Initiative (GPCI) - a team of medical professionals based in IRELAND. Our single goal is help all the children caught in the crossfire of the current conflict in Palestine.
In the heart of a conflict zone, where the echoes of war resonate through the lives of innocent children, our mission is clear: to be a beacon of hope and healing. As a dedicated group of medical professionals from Ireland, we strive to alleviate the suffering of all children in Gaza, offering them a lifeline amidst chaos.
In the crucible of conflict, children are often the most vulnerable and voiceless victims. The devastation wrought by war not only shatters homes and communities but also inflicts deep physical and emotional wounds on the youngest members of society. At GPCI, we believe in the power of compassion to bridge the gap between despair and recovery. We are here for all children currently affected by the conflict in Gaza, regardless of their faith or nationality.
The funds will be used:
- to directly deliver essential medical supplies including equipment, consumables and medicine for paediatric healthcare in Gaza and/or the West Bank
- to directly provide on site care for all children caught in the crossfire of the war - pending the border opening
- to support the children of war via selected charities working on the ground in Gaza
- to support children and families in Ireland fleeing the conflict
