Howdy y'all, we are Old Cuss cafe & Market and Little Cuss Coffee.

We opened in the fall of 2020 as a coffee trailer and have grown to a full restaurant & market, with our new coffee shop located in the neighborhood hive in east sugarhouse.

We are a fully vegan concept with over 20 local vendors who sell out of our space.

Being community-minded and driven, our top priority is serving Salt Lake Valley with the highest quality plant-based food and drinks made from scratch.

We believe that fruit & vegetables should be celebrated for all they are and that local business needs to be more collaborative to thrive and stay alive.

We strive to keep our food fresh and the environment warm. Being as seasonal as possible and as local as possible.

Now a bit more about why we need your help.

The local business economy is in a pickle but not the pickle we love.

It seems that weekly a beautiful local gem closes its doors. We are trying our darndest to stay out of that demographic and serve yall for many years to come.

Since starting Old Cuss, Fyffe and Brent'lee have been trying to keep the shops fully self-funded but as the market has become more volatile, our funding has gone away with the leaves and we have entered a long hard winter with very limited resources to keep things going and keep bills paid.

With this Gofundme, We aim to pay off our debt to have more cash flow and cushion for the challenging season ahead.

We function off of a 3 set mentality...

Giving a dang about People, Place and Product.

We always start with people.

Our team is our highest priority. We want to ensure a secure and fruitful workplace for our prised crew, for better or worse.

We want to serve our community with the highest quality food, drink and service.

Respecting our environment in the process.

This is our last resort as we have been denied bank loans due to being a fresh business and the lack of income represented in our owners bank accounts.

Grants could take up to a year to go through.

When we researched PPP loans, we did not qualify because we were too new of an establishment. Here at Old Cuss, we aim always to be transparent and honest about where we are as a business/individuals

What will we do with the funds raised.......

1. Pay off debts to open up room for cash flow

2. Have a budgeted rainy day account for team wages

3. Update broken equipment and get needed equipment for the kitchen

4. Apply for a Wine and beer license to help grow into dinner hours

5. Fund our new Old Cuss garden to table program

6. We will donate 10% of what is raised to copperhive vintage in South Salt Lake

7. We will donate an additional 10% of what is raised to Agape Grow Farms nonprofit 501c3 in KCMO.

We believe that giving back will always pay off, and we believe that the overflow of love from yall should be poured into more beautiful humans helping our world be a better place.

We have been long-winded, but if you know us, you know we are long-winded and very open to yall.
