Glow Up Girl needs a place for girls to be girls!

HI! My name is JoAnn! My partner, Mary Jones, and I have developed an organization designed to empower, support and nurture girls. Glow Up Girl will provide the tools to aid Girls in Wayne County, NY, in crashing through barriers traditionally met by girls and women. Our goal is to give the girls the skills to become strong, confident leaders in their communities by working with the whole girl (physical, emotional, and mental health). We will provide Glow Up Girls with the tools to build self-esteem and confidence to meet the challenges of daily living. We will tackle various complex topics such as how to improve grades, overcome bullying, prepare for college, plan for the future, engage in healthy relationships, self-care, compassion, empathy, and mental, physical and emotional health. Most Glow Up GIrls will receive programing from the Organization at school, but we also want to provide an after-school safe place and a place to have monthly networking opportunities!

Here's where you come in!! We want to give Glow Up Girls the perfect girl space! We have a space, but it is severely outdated and run down. We want Glow Up Girls to want to be in this space and bring their friends to share in this space with them! That means it has to be modern, bright and fun! We need to completely remodel and purchase new furnishings to create this desirable setting. We always say, "It takes a village." Here is your chance to be a part of the village and contribute to something meaningful and worthwhile for youth who identify as girls in our community. Glow Up Girl will create many opportunities as it works to break down barriers and help girls establish valuable (life-saving) connections. Let's be a part of the solution.
