HELP ME REACH MY GOAL!
At the end of September I solo hiked the West Highland Way to raise money for Shelter UK.
Since the onset of Covid-19 thousands of people across the country have struggled in all manner of ways. Lost income, redundancies, evictions and a level of uncertainty that this country has not experienced in my lifetime. I personally have watched the complete shutdown and continued annihilation of the performing arts industry, an industry that I have been a part of for most of my life and have worked in for the past 6 years. It is my greatest passion in life.
But I can't do what I love right now, but I have to do something. My two other passions in life are hiking and film. So for the foreseeable I will be hiking around the UK, and further afield once restrictions are lifted, and I will be documenting my journey. On top of that I will be raising money for a variety of charities while I do it.
My chosen charity for my West Highland Way Adventure is Shelter UK. They help over a million people a year struggling with bad housing or homelessness, and they campaign to prevent it in the first place. They're here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.
Give Big. Give small. Give whatever you can, because none of us know when we may be in a position where we are in dire need of help. 5 million people contacted Shelter last year looking for advice and every 13 minutes another family in England has become homeless.
