Good Samaritan Deserves a Reward

Howard Kirby bought a sofa from Habitat for Humanity and found there was cash stuffed in one of the cushions. He contacted an attorney to see about his legal rights concerning his find and  he was told he was under no obligation to return it. Mr Kirby did not feel right about it, so he contacted the store and they were able to track down the original owner. Mr Kirby returned the money, over $43,000 to granddaughter of the owner of the money. Mr. Kirby stated that even though he needs a new roof and wanted to pay his house off, he gave the money to the person whom donated the couch. There was no reward offered to him.  This outstanding person deserves to be rewarded for his honesty and for his reminder to us all, of the good we can do each day for ourselves and one another.
