Greg Morse Memorial Fund
Final Update: Thanks to everyone's generosity, we were able to donate over $33,000! This will go towards a number of great causes including the FBIAA Memorial College Fund, the San Antonio Food Bank, Child Advocates San Antonio, Earn-A-Bike, and of course the San Antonio Parks foundation. These are all causes Greg has supported in the past and would be proud to continue to help support. We raised enough for a memorial bike repair station at McAllister Park at the Al Becken Pavilion, two more repair stations in the park and on Salado Greenway, and towards the completion of the bike park in McAllister. Again, thank you everyone for your wonderful support, both monetarily and through words. It really does mean a lot to the Morse's and through this Greg will have a special place in McAllister.
Update: Thank you everyone for your amazing generosity! The family is deeply touched by all the giving and it really is amazing to see everyone who he has impacted. We have exceeded our goal already, and a memorial bike stand is in the works, and we are discussing how best to allocate the additional funds with the park. Thank you so much again everyone!
This fundraiser is in memory of Greg Morse. He was a loving husband, devoted son, and proud father who left us much too soon. Greg was an avid mountain biker and runner, spending much of his free time enjoying these activities with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, we'd like to honor his memory by donating back to McAllister Park in San Antonio, TX in the form of a memorial bike repair station. Greg was always quick to lend a hand and ask other bikers on the trails if they needed any assistance with repairs, so honoring him in this way is only fitting; paying it forward forever. McAllister was his favorite park and a regular meetup spot for weekend bike rides and fundraising 5Ks, followed by breakfast tacos and cold iced tea.
Should the initial goal be exceeded, another repair station or more will be donated as well. Once all of the donations are received, his family with make the final donation to the Friends of McAllister Park. Every dollar donated here on GoFundMe, will be matched upon the final donation.
