Half Marathon for Alzheimer's Disease Charity
Donation protected
I am running my first half marathon at the Perkins Great Eastern Run on October 13 to raise money for research for The Alzheimer's Society and Football Players of the 50s.
My Dad, George, has suffered from Dementia for the last 6 years. To see what was once a strong, fit professional footballer, a highly respected football coach, a carer and a wonderful husband and father deteriorate rapidly into a man who is now dependant on care to live day to day due to this illness is something no family should have to suffer.
There is now said to be a link to former footballers in the 1950's who are now suffering from this disease due to the weight and design of the football that was used in those days.
Your donation will help people like my Dad receive the best possible treatment available for this terrible and life changing illness
