Half-marathon for ‘Protect Black Women’

In my life I have been blessed with support and the option of therapeutic help from my mother and extended family. This is a luxury that not all black women have, an injustice my mum has had the initiative to confront and repair. She alongside other powerful black women have launched the campaign ‘Protect Black Women’ which, teaming with headstrong counselling and other partners, seeks to provide therapeutic support and advocate for black women. As a token of my gratitude, I will be running a half marathon on the 24th of August to raise £1,500 for the cause as an attempt to thank my mother, aunty and late Nana Iris for all that they have done for me in my life.
