Harry and his family

Hi, this is a fund to raise money to help 8 year old Harry Budd and his family.

Unfortunately, over the Christmas break, Harry received his diagnosis of bone cancer. It goes without saying that this is heartbreaking in itself, but the challenges his family now face are compounded by the fact that he needs to be treated in Birmingham, many miles from his home. No family should have to go through what the Budds are now facing into, and whilst there's little any of us can do to help medically, we can help relieve some of the financial burden this brings.

Raising money for the family means that they'll be able to spend more time together, without worrying about travel costs. They won't need to worry so much about the impact of time by Harry's side and not working. And when he comes home again, they will be able to heat their home through the day without worrying so much about the extortionate bills this will now incur. They will, hopefully, also be able to buy the occasional treat for Harry, his sisters and his parents, Becky and Rob, to bring the odd bit of joy to this awful time.

A bit about Harry...

Many of you reading this will know Harry and his family well. You'll know that Harry is football crazy (a huge Manchester United fan!), cheeky, funny, and very kind. Despite the pain he's already in and the treatment he's already had to go through, he keeps a smile on his face. Those of us lucky enough that our children count him as a friend know how he lights up a room with that cheeky personality of his. He's been much missed at school already, by teachers and children alike. Thanks to this cruel illness, Harry has already had to take a break from his much loved football, and he's hugely missed by his team, New Mills Juniors U8s - and the Wasps in particular. 

We know it's a tough time for everyone right now, but even the smallest donation will help. The family are really grateful for anything you're able to give.
