Help 2 Disabled, Trans Queers Pay Our Rent

Hi there y'all!

Most of my friends and followers have tracked me the past few years since I moved to the Pacific Northwest and bounced around homeless or housing-insecure for a while.

My nesting GF and I both had jobs at the end of February, but after the first week in March COVID put us out of work, and with the severely limited bus schedule, I still can't go back to work outsides the house.

We applied for our state's Pandemic Unemployment Assistance the 9th of June and still haven't heard one thing or the other about our applications.

Emmy went to a job interview at Wal-Mart yesterday and hopes they'll hire her, but our rent was due the first week of this month and we didn't have it. Even if she gets this job, we'll be paying rent entirely too late, after we paid late last month waiting for her economic stimulus check to hit.

(She also got jumped and her new phone from a friend got jacked yesterday, but this fundraiser is specifically about rent during this shit sandwich of a year.)

I'm still getting back on a few of my psychiatric maintenance medications (although not all at appropriate tapering doses) and not doing a great job of banging out work while I'm brain foggy, fighting fibro flares, and on my period. Most of my days thus far are spent playing phone tag trying to finish getting my medical care ironed out, because I still have not been provided with a case manager to assist me in organizing my myriad care needs.

We've raised part of the money for rent so far on Twitter, but I was hoping a more official fundraiser would get more contributions.

We pay $600 total for rent each month, but I've set my goal at $400  to partially accommodate for the amount we've raised on Twitter, because once we finish raising rent money, we really need some of the money we've received to buy sundries that food stamps won't cover - toilet paper (we're out, I'm using my bidet only.), wet wipes, mouthwash, conditioner, dish washing supplies, laundry supplies, etc. I also need to buy my bile supplements again, but they're $30 and so I certainly won't be spending anything on them until we have rent squared away this month. This also doesn't account for our regular out-of-pocket expenses for medications and pain management. Our finances are stretched this thin or thinner most months, I have to bang out work when I'm able to solicit Twitter for basic expenses on a regular basis, and it's beyond exhausting.

I realize that most of my friends and followers are also marginalized and struggling right now, so every contribution, whether it's a boost or a small donation, is incredibly meaningful to me.
