Help Bring Soccer to Sunnyside This Spring

We’re raising $6,000 to bring a much-needed soccer field to Sunnyside Park for students at Sunnyside Environmental K-8 and Sunnyside neighborhood in Portland, Oregon.

The soccer field will also be a great addition to the nearby Belmont Street Business District, creating a space for neighbors and friends to connect and play after grabbing a Stumptown coffee, Laughing Planet burrito, Nate's Cookies, and getting overexcited at the Avalon Arcade.

Right now the park has limited recreational options, with an outdated playground, two basketball hoops, and an unmaintained baseball diamond. A soccer field will provide FUN for students, Portland Parks, and other rec teams, plus pickup games for friends and new friends.

We’ve secured a contract from Portland Public (Contract No. P-94786) for two mobile soccer goals and are raising funds to cover the cost of the goals and ongoing maintenance, including replacing nets. With your support, we can enhance community engagement, promote physical activity, and create a lasting resource for Sunnyside and Portland Parks. Let’s make this happen by Spring 2025.
