Help Fund My PhD Research Trip to Oxford & London

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out for support to help fund a 10-day research trip at the end of March to Oxford and London, crucial for my ongoing PhD work in Paleophenomenology — a field I’ve developed that combines the study of ancient human consciousness with archaeology, phenomenology, and depth psychology.

As a dedicated student researcher, I’m committed to being as resourceful as possible during this trip, and I’ve already secured discounts on travel. I plan to prepare my own meals and stay in affordable accommodations, but I still need your help to make this trip a reality.

Your support will enable me to:
  • Access rare archives and research materials in the libraries at Oxford where I went for another 10-day field trip for my Practice-led Masters by Research
  • Visit the British Museum and the Natural History Museum in London, both holding key resources for my research
  • Make significant strides in completing my PhD with firsthand access to the materials I need

Even £5 can make a big difference! Every contribution, no matter the size, helps me move closer to achieving my academic goals and advancing my research. I always say that if I know 10 people who know 10 people and who then know 10 people, and each give a £1...

Budget Breakdown:
  • Accommodation (Oxford & London): £450–£600 (10 nights total)
  • Transport: £70–£100 (discounted train fare and local travel)
  • Food & Essentials: £100–£150
  • Museum/Research Costs: £50
  • Miscellaneous: £50
Total Goal: £900

Why This Trip Matters:
This trip is not just about ticking boxes for my PhD — it’s about advancing a unique field of study that bridges ancient human consciousness and modern phenomenology. By accessing rare, first-hand materials and significant museum collections in Oxford and London, I can deepen my research and offer new insights into how ancient humans perceived their world.

I’ve previously visited places like Creswell Crags and the Vallée des Merveilles, and I’ve already established collaborations with researchers in the UK, Italy, Canada and Spain, working on groundbreaking theories in the field of Paleophenomenology. This trip will provide me with essential tools to complete my research and bring my thesis to life.

What Happens if We Exceed the Goal?
If we raise more than the £900 goal, I will use the extra funds to purchase additional research tools, such as an external memory storage device for my research materials or more archival access. Your contributions, no matter the size, will help me continue pushing the boundaries of this unique field.

How You Can Help:
