Help Honor Roland Marcelo Penamante's Memory

In Loving Memory of Roland Marcelo Peñamante

It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Roland Marcelo Peñamante, who was only 48 years old.
On the night of Thursday, September 18, Roland was involved in a tragic vehicle accident alongside two others. The car veered into the Delta Mendota Canal in Tracy, CA. While one passenger was able to escape, Roland and his dear friend JD went missing in the water. Roland was blind and would need help from JD to escape. What followed was a harrowing and painful search. Dive teams searched tirelessly on Friday, recovering the submerged vehicle, but neither Roland nor JD were found inside. The search continued through Saturday and Sunday, joined by Roland's son, brothers, and countless family members and friends who refused to give up hope.
Our worst fears were confirmed on Sunday, September 21, just before noon, when Roland was finally recovered from the canal. His loss has left a deep and unfillable void in our lives.
Roland was more than just a son, father, brother, and friend—he was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. Roland loved being “Papa Lolo”, the grandfather to his 3 beautiful granddaughters. He had a generous heart, a warm soul, and a smile that could bring comfort even on the hardest days. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the love he gave so freely.
We are reaching out to our community, friends, and extended family for support during this incredibly difficult time. All funds raised will go directly toward funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and supporting his loved ones as they grieve this unimaginable loss.
The date and details of Roland’s services will be announced soon, and we invite all who knew and loved him to come celebrate his life.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your love, support, and prayers. Your kindness means more than words can express.
Rest in peace, Roland. You are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
