Help Hunter Kessler Recover from His Fall

On 2/2/22 Hunter fell 35’ while canyoneering near Moab, UT. He is currently in the ICU in Grand Junction, CO and the team here is helping him heal several injuries including facial fractures, a broken ankle and a broken wrist. Hunter is strong and is progressing well, but the path back to health will be a journey.

We are reaching out to the community to support Hunter with the expenses associated with his healing. It is my hope that most of the primary medical expenses will be covered by his health insurance. But it’s hard to know how everything will be billed (he’s been treated in 2 states, 2 hospitals and on the helicopter in between), what’s covered, and how much copays and coinsurance will come out to. Additionally Hunter will be unable to work for several months, and donations will help him with living expenses through this period. This may include rent, food, purchasing needed items for his home comfort and mobility when he is able to leave the hospital, and travel expenses associated with follow up appointments.

I know Hunter will be extremely grateful for any donation, no matter the amount. If you have a little extra to share, please do. Many hands make light work. This is the beauty of community. Hunter loves his community, his Moab community, his PA community and everyone he’s met along the way.
