Please Help Lindsey Aileen

My name is Donna and I am Lindsey's Auntie D.

I am asking for your help. Life has turned upside down in a few short hours and my beautiful niece and her two young children have a rough road ahead.

On Wednesday, September 8th, 2021, Lindsey sent her two sweet children, Mikayla 10 and Kaleb 6, off to their first day of school. An exciting day! However, that very night, Lindsey began to feel excruciating pain and was admitted to Southlake Hospital. By early morning, tests had been completed and Lindsey was referred to Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. Following more bloodwork and a bone marrow biopsy, Lindsay was given a shocking and devastating diagnosis.......she has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Treatment will begin immediately.

Lindsey will be in hospital at least a month with rounds of chemo and blood transfusions, all the while unable to see her children while enduring this dangerous treatment.

Lindsay is a wonderful mother and caring person. She has spent many hours volunteering at the Seasons Centre for Grieving Children in Barrie. Many families can attest to the wonderful care that she gives to their children as a self employed childcare provider. 

Unable to work for the foreseeable future, the expenses of life will continue while she is hospitalized and healing.

It is humbling and a very difficult thing to ask for help, but here we are. ❤
