It really is a sad state of affairs. Even people with normal jobs, education, and savings are being stretched with housing issues. Alot of people are on the brink of homelessness.My name is Rozz founder of Lighting the Way for New Beginnings my daughter (a high school student) and I have been helping the homeless 7 days a week and after hours for people in our community who are struggling with the cost of living and housing crisis in the Moreton Bay and surrounding Brisbane regions. We have been providing home cooked meals daily, emergency food hampers and hygiene products. We continue to link people with resources that are available in the community. My daughter and I have been providing this service since we started feeding the homeless in 2022 on Christmas Day and is growing after this I felt the homeless kept growing and and due to Covid around that Time there was no help for our homeless at a significant cost from our own pockets we provide this regularly. Now we are asking you for your donation. We would love to be able to provide these ongoing. We have been able to provide 1000s of meals and hampers. We would now like to expand our services. A real struggle and growing problem to many is having the money or resources to put there pets into temporary shelters or with pet sitters, we would love to be able to provide financial support for temporay pet accommodation, as these pets suffer as much as there owners on street. This would be a game changer we all know how important our fur babies are to us and knowing they are safe would be huge. A hot meal and emergency food plus after hours pet accommodation. Each meal costs approximately $5-$10 per person, plus food hampers $25 - $50 per hamper, and pet accommodation $30 per day. My long term goal is to set up a 'Not for Profit" charity to assist our community and those not so fortunate in a time of need. I am asking for your kindness and compassion to support our cause with a small contribution, one off or if you can more often. “Your donation will make a real impact on the lives of others.
