On Monday 27th July 2026 my Dad, Charlie Zammit experienced a devastating tragedy.

Charlie lost his home in a sudden and catastrophic house fire. Within a matter of minutes, the fire tore through the property, destroying the entire house and everything inside it.

Thankfully, Charlie was not home, but he lost both his beloved dogs in the fire. He has been left with nothing but the clothes on his back.

The house was sadly NOT insured, leaving Charlie to face the truly unimaginable task of rebuilding from literally nothing.

Years of hard work, memories, family keepsakes including family ashes, furniture, clothing, appliances and all of life’s everyday necessities have been lost. Everything he had worked so hard to build has been reduced to ashes.

My dad is one of the best people I know. If you know him, you love him. He is the kind of person who is always there for others, putting their needs before his own. He would and often did, give the shirt off his back. Today, he has lost everything, including the home he loved.

I understand that not everyone is in a position to donate, and that’s completely okay. Sharing this page with others is just as appreciated and will help us reach more people who may be able to assist.
