Pray Past the Pain: Doi’s Journey of Survival and Strength.

Dear Friends and Supporters,
I come from a family of 13, and we’ve faced more than our share of loss. I’ve already lost one sibling to cancer and another to an aneurysm. Now, my oldest sister, Doi, is battling cancer, and as the last remaining eldest sibling, her story must be told.
Doi’s life has been one of unimaginable challenges. From a young age, she endured abuse, neglect, trauma, and repeated institutionalization. Becoming a mother at 15, she faced the world head-on, surviving through some of life’s harshest trials. Her story is one of survival, but more importantly, it’s about resilience, strength, and the will to "pray past the pain."
With our parents gone and several siblings already lost, I feel a deep sense of urgency to preserve Doi’s legacy. Her journey is not just personal—it’s a powerful message of hope for anyone facing their own struggles. That’s why I am working on a book that will share her story with the world, and my long-term goal is to adapt this book into a film, so her story of courage and perseverance can touch even more lives.
To make this vision a reality, I need your support. Writing and publishing a book, and eventually bringing it to the screen, requires financial resources that I currently do not have. I’m launching this GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of writing, editing, and publishing, and ultimately take the steps toward a film adaptation of Doi’s inspiring life.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to sharing Doi’s story with the world. Your generosity will not only honor her memory but will inspire countless others who need to know they too can rise above adversity.
Thank you for considering being part of this journey. With your help, Doi’s story of survival and strength will live on, and her legacy will touch hearts around the world.
Warm regards,
