Help Soren Fight Wilms Tumor

On January 10, 2025, our son Soren, age 4, was diagnosed with Wilms tumor—a rare form of pediatric kidney cancer. Currently, he has a large tumor in his kidney and a metastasis in his lung. He has had a surgery where they placed a chemo port and completed a biopsy of the tumor. Resection was attempted, but adhesions to his pancreas were found. He has started chemotherapy to shrink the tumor away from the pancreas.

Current Treatment Plan:

• 6 weeks of initial chemotherapy (ongoing)

• Surgery scheduled for March to remove the tumor and affected kidney

• Around 6 months of chemotherapy and radiation

Despite the challenges ahead, Soren's medical team remains optimistic about his prognosis. They believe he will respond well to the planned treatment regimen.

Soren has shown incredible strength throughout this process. His resilience inspires us every day as we navigate this unexpected journey together as a family. We are grateful for the support of our medical team, family, and friends during this time.
