Help Rebuild Hiddenbed of Oregon

Hi, my name is Anna Maria Cobb. I am the daughter of Keith and Josefina Cobb. For the past 10 years, we as a family have built up our furniture manufacturing business, Hiddenbed of Oregon.
At 1:00 on the morning of Saturday, October 9th, I got a call from a friend who lives a couple of blocks from our business informing me that the building next to our shop was on fire, and going up fast.
My household was awake and down at the shop in a matter of moments, and the next 3 hours were spent watching helplessly by as the fire spread to two other buildings, and finally ours.
There was a lot of hope in the beginning that our shop would be spared, but it finally combusted sheerly from the intensity of the heat of being so close to the main blaze.
I am so grateful for the fact that we had some close friends standing with us, and spirits were considerably high and hopeful despite the circumstances. But our hearts all broke a little when the sign fell down to the ground off the smoldering wall.
It’s jarring to know that 10 years worth of accumulated assets that made up our business - machinery, inventory, materials, and technology - are all gone. But everyone is safe, and that’s what matters most.
We are moving ahead with optimism and a plan to relocate to a temporary location. We will remain operational as a retail business until we can get our manufacturing capacities up and running again. In the meantime additional monetary support is crucial for being able to sustain our family and employees through this difficult time. Your generosity is immensely appreciated.
