Help the Staff of The Angel Hotel Get the Wages They’re Owed
Donation protected
As some of you may have heard, The Angel Hotel in Lavenham was suddenly closed without notice, leaving our dedicated staff in an incredibly difficult situation.
Our team worked tirelessly through the busy Christmas period (Christmas Day included!), giving up precious time with loved ones to ensure guests had a wonderful experience. Despite our hard work, we were never paid for January’s wages—£6,330.70 in total. On top of that, when the hotel abruptly shut its doors on February 12th, 2025, we lost even more—wages from January 21st to February 12th, amounting to £17,131.48. This amounts to a grand total of £23,462.18 for 24 staff members.
Now, all of us are out of work, struggling to cover essential payments like rent, credit card bills, and other financial commitments.
The Angel Hotel Will Not Be Reopening Under This Team
Unfortunately, the hotel will not be reopening under our staffing team, and the business itself is unable to pay the wages we are owed. This means there is no future payout coming—without outside help, we simply won’t receive the money we worked for.
We understand that times are tough for many, but if you are in a position to help, any donation—big or small—would mean the world to us. Every penny raised will go directly toward ensuring the hardworking staff receive the pay they rightfully earned.
Thank you so much for your support. It truly means everything.
We have raised £4000.00 through a donation bringing our new aim down from £23,462.18 to £19,462.18
Thank you to all that have already donated.
