We are raising funds to feed people in need while keeping livestock from being wasted and thrown in the landfill.
Tens of thousands of hogs have been euthanized because the supply chain is broken. And until things get back to normal, this will be happing for quite a while.
We can help fix this problem together. And we are willing to work hard to do it. Please read our story below:
This is Bob and Nichole, the proud owners of Big Rig BBQ in Sioux Falls, SD. We began building a new Big Rig Smoked meats USDA Certified facility weeks before COVID-19 hit. It has definitely slowed down our plans for our processing facility and our family, but it has not damped our spirit.
Knowing that we will not begin production at full capacity (with plans to finish and open mid-June), we have decided to use our facility to support farmers from our area and help feed those who need it most during this challenging time.
All of our lives have been greatly affected by COVID-19. Not only are people struggling to put food on their tables, but farmers are simultaneously struggling to find places to process their livestock. Tens of thousands of pigs and livestock are having to be euthanized because America’s supply chain has been disrupted. In these unsettling times, there is no way to tell when things will return to normal. This is where we can step in.
Your donations to this campaign will go directly to a number of things. It will pay farmers for their pigs before they have to euthanize them. It will go toward butchering the pork, and by doing so, it will also be employing locals to process the meat for shipping. With your help, it will deliver semi loads of meat to those in need all over the US.
With Big Rig in our name, we want to ensure that we keep the amazing truckers busy too! Bob has had his commercial driver’s license for over 20 years.
We will partner with food banks, churches, and any other organizations that let us know they are in need fresh cuts of pork. This will be at no cost to the recipients of our product. We just want to help anyone in need, in any way we can.

We are beyond excited for this Go Fund Me project, as it truly helps everyone involved. We absolutely believe we are in this together, and with your help, we can help farmers, meat cutters, truckers, and especially those that are hungry.
