In May of 2024, ten-year-old Vada Ruiz of Southampton was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Her journey has not been easy, but with her parents and sister by her side, she has amazed all of those around her with her strength. One of the accommodations recommended by her neurologist, in conjunction with her medication, is a service dog.

This week, Vada was approved for a service dog with a facility in Ohio (4 Paws for Ability.) This process will take time and will cost twenty thousand dollars. We are asking for the help of our great community. Please donate if you are able, or simply spread the word so we can get Vada one step closer to having her very own service dog.
