Our beloved Wil Redwine, Jr. (Dad) has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s, MND) which is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. No cure has been found for ALS. However, there are treatments available that can help control symptoms, prevent unnecessary complications, and make living with the disease easier.
Dad (Wil) has decided to start experimental stem cell treatments and will be traveling to California for these procedures. The treatment is not covered by insurance, and we are hoping to raise funds to help with these expenses.
We are stronger as a family more than ever, we are optimistic and prayerful, but we can use your help. The treatment costs $50,000, which does not include the cost of lodging and travel.
As you can imagine, our Dad means the world to us, and as the disease progresses, it has become more of a struggle to live the daily quality of life that Dad is used to.
Dad’s goal is to get stronger, regain some lost functions and to be able to continue working. Our Dad has 4 children, 2 who are in high school, 1 in college and 1 who has graduated college. We need our father, and he would like to be here to see all of us graduate college and reach our goals.
