Donation protected
In January 2021, Baby Emilia was diagnosed with Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
Unfortunately, in Emilia's home country help is not available to kids with such diagnosis because the required medicine is not registered there.
Only one medicine in the world is capable of stopping this illness: Zolgensma, a gene therapy injection from the Swiss company Novartis. The cost of the injection, including hospital expenses, is $2,234,031 (the cost estimate was provided by UCLA Children's Hospital). The injection is done once over a 60-minute period. To receive the injection, a child must be younger than 2 years old and weigh less than 13.5 kg.
Currently, there is a fundraising campaign in Kazakhstan. So far, 18.8% of the needed amount has been raised.
We ask you to help the fundraising campaign financially and by spreading the word (by making a repost on your social media accounts).
Thank you for your support. Emilia will beat SMA.
