Helping our Friend and his Family in Turkey

Süleyman Kanal (far left in the image) lives in Turkey, he’s a college student and one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen.

Süleyman came to the United States in the summer of 2022 to work at my restaurant Blu in Glen Arbor via the J1 Work and Travel program. He and his working class family recently evacuated their city and are safe, but they lost their house to earthquake and know of many friends that are still searching through the rubble still looking for lives ones.

Süleyman washed dishes for us every day-all summer last year. He also worked a second job during the daytime hours at Boondocks in Glen Arbor every day with his earnings going towards his college tuition and his family. He did all this after waking up at dawn to run and work out every morning.

We’ve all seen the devastation his country has been delt. Please help me in showing some love to help this family out with a direct sign of gratitude. Every dollar collected will go into Süleyman’s bank account he established in Traverse City last year and will be securely transferred to him and his family.
