Dear Members, Supporters, Sponsors, and Friend of CCAMRE:
We thank you for your trusted and genuine support in 2020 and we wish you good health and peace for the upcoming Holiday Season. We ask you to join us in helping indigenous Mayan Chorti families living in the remote Merendon Mountains of Guatemala who are affected by severe poverty and Covid 19 restrictions. These communities continue to face many challenges; however, the inability to obtain basic food essentials due to local village lockdowns is extreme. As we are all adapting to these unprecedented times here at home, CCAMRE is continuing to try and help these communities as best we can.
CCAMRE has been able to assist 335 families in Volcancito and Pena Blanca through our charity funds and individual donations with two deliveries of a box of food essentials for each family, one in March and October. For this we are sincerely grateful to our donors and are hoping that we can do this again during the Holiday Season. The cost for each box is $40 CDN and we need to raise over $13,400 CDN to complete this project.
