HONORING OUR CAPE COD COVID VICTIMS

Since the day that my dad died of COVID...I've hated that word!! This virus is taking too many people! Some people don't think it's a big thing, but when it hits close to home - it's a whole different feeling!
After losing my father from Covid, I have had this burning passion to do something to honor him and all the other victims. To do something that shows the families that their loved ones are remembered and are being thought of often. As I sat there in tears watching other towns do things to memorialize their Covid victims, I noticed there was nothing done on the Cape. So that is when I reached out to the town, to the BPD, to the state reps and to the Mass Dot. I am planning on buying 500 flags and writing the names and towns of all the victims that were taken away from us due to Covid and placing them around the Airport Rotary in Hyannis with extra large banners that will say "IN HONOR OF OUR CAPE COD COVID VICTIMS" covering all the exits.
To be able to do this, I am asking for any donations to go towards my project. No donation is too small! This is something near and dear to my heart and means the world to me to be able to honor my dad and all the other victims. The donations raised will go towards covering the costs for all of the 500 flags, the police detail which I am told I will need when I actually place them on the rotary, the permits, the 4 extra large banners covering each exit to show exactly what the flags represent and the fees taken out from the Go Fund Me organization.
I will keep everyone posted on what day the flags will go up as soon as I know. Most likely the end of April. From my heart to yours, please be careful and wear your masks. We do not need this virus taking any more of our own!!!!!
