Hope for Hill Crest

In 2012, I learned the importance of giving. This was
instilled in me during a trip to Tanzania. I met a local couple in Arusha,
Isaac and Elizabeth, who despite their own disadvantaged lives decided to
dedicate their time and money to helping children in their poor community who
were suffering. This is how Hill Crest began.
Hill Crest is a place where the children in the community who are undernourished, neglected, abused, or struggling in any way can come and learn, play, be loved, and receive meals and medication. During my time there I watched children go from being weak and withdrawn to strong, joyful, smiling children who happily sang and danced.
Isaac and Elizabeth gave so much to the children of Hill Crest, but as I looked into the children's eyes, I noticed that the main thing they gave the children was hope.
The need in this community is enormous, and every month more children are trying to squish into the small cement room that makes up Hill Crest. The conditions are poor, there is not enough room for desks and chairs for each child and since they do not own a field or playground, the children play in an outside area where the community often dumps their garbage. To make matters worse, Hill Crest is only a day school, so at the end of the day, many of the children have to return to the dreadful conditions outside.
This is why a boarding school is essential for these children who desperately need a home where they can receive education and care. Isaac and Elizabeth have faced their own hardships but they want to dedicate their lives to these children and now it's our time to help make that possible.
