We are raising money to help two of our hardest hit during these trying times. Stay at home orders have decimated our locally owned and operated food service establishments. Healthcare workerrs are faced with unprecidented stress, lack of supplies and the added stress of keeping our families safe while caring for yours.
Every cough, every wheeze, be it ours or those we care for, brings new anxieties and fears. It's not will I get sick; it is, am I sick? Are they sick? what if some one infects me and I infect our patients. What if they get sick because of me. What if, two weeks ago.... We carry these fears, from disrobing in our garages, twice daily showers, laundry seven times a week. The last thing Frontline staff need is to worry about where the next meal is coming from. Cook, shower or sleep? We can sleep in the shower.
At the same time, the life blood of American social interaction has had its' own catastrophic set back. Millions laid off, revenue slashed, many may not survive.
In these trying times, it is possible to support those who are there for us in our times of need. Our nurses and our service workers. It is imperative that we stand together and do what we can to keep these establishments open and show our appreciation for those that put their safety on the line every day.
For every $1000 raised, 100 gift certificates will be donated to a local nursing home or care facility, for the staff and frontline workers, to have a hot meal and recuperate from the unique daily stresses they are encountering, while at the same time providing much needed revenue to local establishments.
$1000 offers an immediate infusion of cash, enough to pay a full time employees for over a week, or, cover the bill on the next delivery. It allows servers to up-sell and increase sales, or get tipped the balance.
We have delivered $1000 dollars in gift cards to date, to the Fountains of Crystal Lake, thanks to many generous donations. Including Eby Graphics and Café Olymipic, the beautiful people listed below, and the many others who have donated outside of this page.
There are harder hit communities and businesses out there that can use our help, too many to list.
Additionally, looking to raise funds or in- kind donation of:
Frontline Staff, Covid-19, Stand Back 10 Feet; T-Shirts to give our defenders a sense of pride, unity and maybe a free beer in public when this is over.
