Trying to help the family with the funeral expenses and medical bills for my dear friend who passed away too early in life. Howard didn't have a lot of worldly possessions, but he was always willing to help anyone in need! Please help this dear family.

Lemuel Howard Stewart, 67, of Chickamauga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Lemuel & Mary Howard Stewart and was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. He was of the Christian faith and graduated from Lakeview High School Class of 1972. Howard was a Southern Gospel singer for most of his life and had performed with the Kings Messengers, the Rock City Boys, Poet Voices and most currently Testimony. He was an inductee into the Tri-State Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame and was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Stewart and sister, Felisa Parris.
Survivors include his children, Heath & (Samantha) Stewart, Chad & (Roxy) Stewart and Brittany Stewart; sisters, Cindi O’Neal and Melinda Eller; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous extended family & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. Patrick Cooper officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2021 in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021 and prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Online guest book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by W.
