Huxley’s Road To Recovery

Our sweet Huxley was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in April 2021. After two months of monitoring we went back to get more testing to see if the tumor had grown, which it had. On June 30th 2021 Huxley underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor and the diagnostics came back that it is a ATRT tumor (atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors.) Huxley will have very extensive rounds of chemo, radiation and stem cell therapy. We will be starting off his treatments at Luthren General Hospital where he will receive two cycles of chemo. Huxley will then start his radiation treatment at Central Dupage Hospital in Warrenville. Once he is done with the radiation treatments he will either go to University of Chicago Hospital or Saint Jude Hospital in Memphis TN to receive a higher grade chemo.
