I am an American who chose to come and live in the Philippines. 

How agriculture saved a former US soldier (Rappler) 

After moving to Mindanao and seeing the ravages of poverty and starvation, I decided to do something about it.

I was trained in organic agriculture and certified here in the Philippines.

I go to the people that need this kind of help the most and train and work their land with them.

This is their story and my journey.

The money will go towards training materials, building proper teaching areas, starting gardens and sustaining them until which time we can sustain on our own.

We have earmarked funds for the following projects, with more projects added as we raise more funds.

1. Php 7000: School garden setup and planting.
2. Php 3000: Reconnect municipal water source for the elementary school's garden.
