In memory of Emilia Marsh (Millie)

Donation protected
My beautiful, sassy, funny, kind and all round amazing 20 year old daughter Millie (Emilia) took her own life on the 3rd of November...Our lives have been changed forever.

Millie had the world at her feet, but she sadly couldn’t fight any longer.

So many people have asked what they can do to help, and it has been something we have carefully considered.

We want to make a difference; we are aiming high to raise money for two topics close to Millie’s heart- the Dogs Trust Canterbury and Adolescent Mental Health.

The Dogs Trust

Millie’s biggest passion was dogs, She loved all animals but dogs especially ...... If she had her way we’d have had a new one weekly.
Millie was at her happiest when she worked for her local dog’s trust branch in Canterbury, she loved it so much that she even volunteered on her days off.  COVID has meant that branches have suffered hugely on raising funds.

Our ambition will be to make a collective contribution to the Dog’s Trust Canterbury that can be in Emilia’s name, as we well as something annually in her memory.

Adolescent Mental Health

My vow as Millie’s mother is to do everything I can do to make a difference to this area. If we can stop just one other family from experiencing this loss and pain we will, but why stop there. As a family we want to make real, ever- lasting change for families and young people.

Depending on how much money we raise we would like to start a charity in Emilia’s name.  We want to make sure that young people are not left like Millie was, at times when support is most needed and could have made a difference. Whilst right now we don't know exactly what that will look like, this could include funding counselling sessions, resilience building or holistic therapies. Whatever we do, we will ensure every penny will make a direct difference to young people.

There is no pressure, times are hard and tough for everyone so this for those that are able, it doesn’t mean you loved her any less if you can’t donate.

Mils I hope I’m doing you proud, I’ll love you forever and some.
