My name is Heather Corcoran and my dear friend of over 16 years, is Cliantha Miller-Finn. Clia's daughter, Emily Finn, was tragically killed on November 26th and I started this GoFundMe to help Clia and Ryan (Emily's parents) as they navigate this tragedy. After transferring the funds to them, a portion of the funds will help the family with monthly bills in the coming months and in the long-term they hope to create a foundation to bring awareness (and change) to the current gun safety, domestic violence and adolescent mental health crisis in our country. After creating the fund and posting on my Facebook and Instagram profiles, many of the Finns friends and families shared and donated as the news of Emily's death spread across Long Island.

Nov 27th: I write this with tears in my eyes as we learned of the devastating and senseless loss of Emily Finn on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Emily leaves a hole in the lives of her mother, father, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. As this family grieves a true treasure of a girl, I ask that our community come together in support of them as they struggle through this inexplicable loss.

To know Emily is to love her, as she became part of the fabric of the lives she touched in her generous and kind way. Through her many years as a dancer, the children she taught as she prepared for a future as a teacher, and simply as a friend to so many, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
