Jacob Harton stem cell treatment for MS

Jacob has been a friend to many and a coach for others. He has lived his entire life with the goal to be a small town football coach. In 2017 he achieved that dream and was hired to be a member of the West Columbia roughnecks. He coached the offensive line.

In September of 2018 he hit a roadblock. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He made lifestyle changes and received treatment. His players, the school and the coaching staff rallied around him to help. He managed his MS well and was able to return to coaching.

In December of 2020 however he contracted the coronavirus. He was hospitalized with multiple complications. As he continued to fight coronavirus the MS symptoms became progressively worse. He is now COVID free however the MS complications remain. Lesions have continued to spread. He has lost most of his ability to speak, swallowing food has become extremely difficult. He has been in and out of the hospital countless times. As the lesions progress it is expected his symptoms will get worse.

Sam Harrell a former high school football coach in Ennis was levied the same fate in 2005. He had developed MS. He progressively got worse until he was unable to coach. He however found a treatment that may have some hope. Coach Harrell underwent the treatment and regained full mobility and was able to return to coaching in shorttime. 

Now Jacob is seeking help from all of us. The treatment is not available in the US. The treatment is extremely expensive and travel costs are also very high. Whatever amount you can contribute will go towards helping Jacob keep his dream alive. It will also help to keep Jacob on the field where he belongs, building the next generation of young men.
