 I am organizing this  fundraiser for a coworker, Latoya Hunt. 
LaToya’s daughter Jada,  was born 12 years ago with Congenital heart disease.  For the past 12 years,Jada lived her life like any other preteen girl, carefree and full of life and laughter. 

Then on 7-19 -20,  Jada’s and her mom’s life were turned upside down.  Jada was rushed to  Children’s hospital of Philadelphia with chronic heart failure. 

Since that day, Latoya has been by her daughters side.  Being there day in and day out has caused a serious financial impact.
Latoya has served with honor for over seven year's as a Correctional Police Officer for the state of New Jersey. 

Visiting her daughter daily during the Covid 19 pandemic has become very stressful for her and her daughter.  

If things couldn’t possibly get any worse, they did. Children’s hospital has taken Jada off the heart transplant list. They feel she wouldn’t survive the transplant. Without the transplant she won’t survive, and the hospital feels she won’t survive the transplant if she got one.  A  horrible situation for any parent to be in. 

Latoya and Jada are down but not out  !!!
Latoya has been in contact with Children’s hospital of NY.  They handle riskier cases like Jada’s.  Hopefully very soon they’ll get word if Jada can be transferred to NYC. 

This is a parents worst nightmare, watching their child lay in a hospital and not being able to do anything about it. 

 I’m asking for financial support for out of pocket expenses. Hotel, food, gas and tolls.  That’s just a few of the out of pocket expenses that LaToya is experiencing, all of which she’s on a leave of absence from her job.
