Local musician needs your help

Folks, I need your help. Many of you know me as a local musician, playing primarily Irish music in Massachusetts. Last month, I landed in the hospital for 7 days with life-threatening ketoacidosis and a diagnosis of diabetes. Since then, I've been experiencing tremendous stomach issues. I've been having nausea, vomiting, and stomach pains on a daily basis. It's been hard for me to keep food or drink in my system. As a result, I'm very weak and haven't been able to work much. I'm on insulin and new medications, some of which blur my vision and make it difficult to drive at night. I've had to turn down many gigs as I don't know when I'll be well enough to keep my usual schedule. I'm planning to use any funds for cost of living expenses and medical bills. I'll be seeing some specialists as I hope to return to a sense of normalcy. I've never asked for anything charitable in my life, but I feel like in my time of need, this community and beyond will come out to support me. I thank you for anything you can contribute.
