I decided to just copy & paste Jett's mom's post because I feel that this best explains it. We all know that medical bills will be mounting quicker than they can blink their eyes, so let's help any way that we can!
Post By Shandrea Gohr:
Where do I begin? On Thursday October 22nd our sweet Jett was diagnosed with stage III Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). Exactly 200 days after his first ER visit for severe abdominal pain. After many doctors visits and another ER trip, we finally met the wonderful specialist Dr. Kriem who shared our concerns (especially the 20 lb weight loss) and scheduled a scope and colonoscopy. once those results came back he referred us to oncology for “possible lymphoma”. We were scared out of our minds, but shout out to my amazing husband who went straight to work and didn’t stop until we had an appointment with one of the best pediatric cancer teams in the US. Once we got to Cincinnati the tests began and we had a final diagnosis within a day and a half. Watching the doctors tell your 9 year old little boy he has cancer is the most heart wrenching thing Brad and I will ever experience. His only question for the doctors through sobs was “Am I going to die?” which he immediately told him “No. you’re not!” We have incredible faith in these doctors, in Jett, and in god and Jetts angels! Miraculously he has not had an episode of the stomach pain in over a month and is pretty much pain/symptom free and comfortable. Despite the large tumors growing in his colon. He has been such a trooper throughout all of this I can’t even tell you how inspired I am by his strength and acceptance of what he has to go through. Please keep Jett in your thoughts and prayers that the chemo is working and destroying the cancer #jettstrong
