The Roberts Family ❤️

On the 3rd March we lost our beautiful Hayley. She was loved by so many people, especially her beautiful and special family and friends. She showed herself to be the bravest mummy that there could ever be, and will always be a role model for Lilly, Oliver and Ivy in how to approach life and putting the needs of others ahead of her own.

Hayley had a difficult pregnancy. She was diagnosed with complications to the placenta, making the pregnancy incredibly fraught with worry especially for her and her loving husband Dave. Despite this, though, Hayley approached her pregnancy with strength and fortitude every step of the way, putting any worries about her own health aside. On the 21st February she was rushed into hospital, and on the 23rd February, she was blue-lighted to Sheffield to receive the specialist care that she needed.

Unfortunately, she became very poorly and things quickly went downhill. The doctors fought hard to keep the pregnancy going, and on the 3rd March a beautiful baby girl, Ivy, was delivered by C-section. She’s a little fighter, just like her mummy, and was born at 31 weeks, weighing just 3lb 4oz.

Due to the complications and haemorrhaging, Hayley wasn’t able to recover, and she lost her fight that same day. She’s left a gaping hole in the lives of so many, especially her special family unit. She showed herself every day to be the best possible mummy to all of her children, and Hayley’s thoughtfulness and generosity will be remembered forever by those whose lives she touched.

Little Ivy is getting stronger day by day under the loving care of Dad and the staff at the hospital. Her big sister and brother love their baby sister very much and look forward to having her home, but building their lives again will be hard for all of them.

This page is being set up so that all of Hayley’s family, friends, and the school community can show how much she was loved. There are so many people who cared for Hayley, and want to help the family as they try to re-build some kind of normality for the children. We want to help this brave family right now, and take away some of the strain of day-to-day life whilst Dad Dave is focusing on caring for Ivy, and help Lilly and Oliver through this difficult time.
