Jim Dougherty Memorial Fund

Jim and Marcia Dougherty have been faithful donors toward the cause of providing safe water for God's children around the world through Fountains of Hope International. They chose FoH to receive memorial donations in memory of Jim's passing which occurred on May 27th, 2023. Jim managed the Carmel Water and Wastewater Department for over 30 years and had a passion for providing safe drinking water to the people in Carmel, Indiana.

All donations raised will go towards a FoH two-tank water purification system that will be installed in September 2023 in Ukraine providing water for IDP's (Internally Displaced Persons) in a tent city caused by the war. A plaque will be installed on the water purification system in memory of Jim.

More information about Fountains of Hope International: Fountains of Hope trains people to install water purification systems around the world helping the poor and marginalized, especially in times of disaster. With just a cup of salt, a 12-volt battery and water, chlorine is generated by electrolysis. One FoH purifier system can disinfect 3,600 gallons of water per hour thereby helping an entire school, orphanage or community. Water Is Life! (Marcia said it is like Jim never died, he is still in the water business.)
