Honoring Joseph (Joe) Vance & Supporting His Mother, Barb
On January 22, 2026, we said goodbye to Joseph "Joe" Vance. Joe was a video game enthusiast, an advocate for the disabled, and a man of deep faith.
At the age of five, a stroke changed Joe’s physical world. However, it never silenced his wit, his mischief, or his dignity.
For the next 42 years, Joe lived at home under the constant, loving care of his mother, Barb. Their bond was a profound testament to a mother’s devotion. Together, they navigated life’s challenges with grace, laughter, and an unshakable faith.
While we find comfort in Joe's faith and the memory of his sharp wit, his passing has left our family—and especially our mother, Barb—at a difficult crossroads.
For over four decades, Barb’s life was centered around providing 24/7 care for Joe. With his passing, she is not only grieving the loss of her son and constant companion, but she is also facing a sudden and total shift in her daily life and financial stability. After 42 years of selfless caregiving, she now finds herself needing to relocate and get her finances in order while she seeks a new path forward.
We are reaching out to our community to help ease this transition.
