Juneteenth is a yearly community event that honors the day that enslaved people in Texas were finally told that they were free on June 19, 1865. These were the last enslaved people to learn of their freedom.

We will celebrate Black Culture with music, food, speakers, dance, poetry, awards, and a Black Is Beautiful Fashion Show. Plus, many other activities, including some geared specifically for children!

A heritage-rich meal, catered by Big Spoon Kitchen, will be served at approximately 5:30-6 pm (until it's all gone.)

ALL FOOD AND EVENTS ARE FREE.

This fundraiser supports that directly.

You are welcome to bring a picnic blanket or chairs. This is a family-friendly event; no alcohol allowed in the park.

DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED AND GO DIRECTLY TO JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION CREATION.

This event is run entirely by volunteers and every penny of your contribution is used to pay for the direct costs of the event.
