In Memory of Kathy Guzman

Donation protected
In memory of our beloved Kathy, a woman with an undying love for motorcycles, family and a heart full of generosity, we come together to raise funds to support her family during this difficult time. They deserved so much more time than the universe offered. As Kathy said, it’s not about the goodbyes…it’s about all the hellos we’ll be missing.

Kathy found solace and joy in the open roads, embracing the freedom that came with each ride. Whether on her own or as a leader, she reveled in the adventure and freedom that motorcycles brought into her life. Those who knew her knew this went to the very fiber of her being. The wind in her gravity-defying hair, the sun on her face, the feel of the miles melting away beneath her all soaked in and chased away her sadness, her indecisions, the weight of life and left behind joy and peace and comfort.

But Kathy's true legacy lies in the way she touched the lives of others, both in her actions and through her words. Her selflessness and love knew no bounds. She was a beacon of hope, a guardian angel for the lost souls she encountered. Kathy had an extraordinary ability to see the potential and worth in everyone she met, transforming their lives with her unwavering support and unconditional love. She could make you feel “seen”, even if you only ever knew her through her writing. She had a way of truth telling that was so raw, so relatable, that it called to people far and wide. She loved her wife and all her kids *fiercely*, and the loss of her laughter will be felt every day.

As we gather to honor her memory, let us emulate the spirit of Kathy - the spirit of compassion, resilience, and boundless love. Of fighting for the rights of all and standing up to bullies. Of freedom and softness and vulnerability. Of loving completely and unconditionally.

Your generous contributions will provide support as her family navigate through this difficult time. Together, we can keep Kathy's amazing soul alive by continuing the kindness and generosity she brought into the world. Let us remember her by cherishing the memories she created and the lives she touched.

“Certain things they should stay the way they are. You ought to be able to stick them in one of those big glass cases and just leave them alone. I know that’s impossible, but it’s too bad anyway.”

– J. D. Salinger

Thank you for your support in keeping Kathy's memory alive. Please join us at Calo’s on Nov 11th from 2-7p to celebrate an incredible life. One last Irish goodbye.
