Kayra’s Cancer Cure
Kayra's Cure
Thank you for taking the time to come and have a look at Kayra’s story.
Kayra is 20 years old and has been diagnosed with midline diffuse glioma which is a very complex type of cancer as it is cancer in the stem of his brain that controls his nervous system, cognitive system etc.
Let me take you to where it all started.
Kayra was healthy and well doing great, going on holidays, working and earning an honest living. He'd just
opened a clothing line that he was working on, renting his own house with his fiance and just trying to be as efficient with his time as he could.
Kayra has always been a very friendly person so he dedicated a lot of his free time to helping people find work, understand different educational paths and helping the less fortunate. In July Kayra took a trip to Cyprus and a few days after he arrived he started to feel extremely dizzy so he went to an ear doctor as he had previously had an ear infection and upon speaking to the doctor they realised he no longer had an ear infection and told Kayra one side of his face was paralysed which no one had noticed. The next day he travelled an hour to a well known hospital for a scan , he done his scan and the next day when he went to receive his results he was given the devastating news that he had an extremely large tumour and that they wanted to do another scan to see if it was cancerous or not so they did another scan and it was found to be grade 4 and malignant. Everyone was heartbroken but Kayra remained positive he not once complained or let it break him he immediately said that he was going to beat it. Once back in London Kayra went immediately to the hospital and within a week they had done a biopsy to give him a full diagnosis and start radiotherapy. It went from Kayra being on holiday walking talking and having a great time to him not being able to walk very well finding it difficult talking and understanding others and it was a difficult process but he still remained strong and positive. Since then Kayra has done radiotherapy and tried a chemotherapy trial called Everolimus which was then discontinued in England as deemed ineffective. The doctor has said Kayra will die and they can not provide him with a cure which we do not believe as there have been cases in which people with this specific cancer have been cured in other countries.
We are trying to raise as much money as possible to be able to take Kayra abroad to be treated and cured. Even if you are not able to donate I hope this touches someone into understanding how quickly anyone’s life can change. If anyone has any helpful information about this particular cancer or any available treatment please comment and I will get into contact with you.
I hope anyone that has bothered to read this and put time into listening to Kayras story has good health and never has to go through something like this.
Thank you to all those that donate and all those that take the time to share and read.
